This month, our Outstanding PetroLeader is Courtney Schmidt, CPA, our controller for the whole company. Keep reading to see what makes Courtney so special and why she’s such a vital part of our company.
Even Accountants Need Accounting
As the controller who oversees all of PetroLedger’s functions and people, Courtney is very busy day in and day out, making sure that all of our internal numbers are where they should be. Courtney is responsible for all corporate accounting processes, methodologies, and transactions here at PetroLedger Accounting & Land. She keeps our operations running smoothly by managing our general ledger and accounts payable/receivable, invoicing over 200+ clients, helping with budgets, and doing our internal payroll. She’s a rockstar when it comes to all of this work and more!
A Can-Do Attitude
Courtney has a tremendous ability to connect with people in person and across our organization. She either has the answer to the important questions that everyone is asking or gets it right after finding the solution. She is genuine in her desire to make PetroLedger a great place for everyone to work. Anyone who has communicated with her for more than a minute can attest to this!
Initiative to Propel Her Personal Success
Outside of her ongoing responsibilities with PetroLedger, Courtney dedicated countless hours to taking additional classwork and eventually sitting for the CPA exam, which, of course, she passed. Her motivation to develop her skillset positioned her to further her career and take on more and larger responsibilities. She is a wonderful example of personal success, and her future shines brightly. We are very proud of Courtney!
